Beth's newest creation is the BFL Hat! In case you didn't know, BFL stands for  Bluefaced Leicester, but it's just a lot easier to say and spell BFL.   This hat is great for the winter and makes great work of the color changes in the Bluefaced Leicester yarn that we got in recently.   

Check out the pattern below!

1 skein BFL yarn
#7-16 inch circular needles]
#7 DPNs

K2tog = knit the next 2 stitches together

Cast on 84 stitches. Join in the round making sure not to twist.
Knit 18 rounds
Purl 1 round
Knit 18 rounds

Pick up the cast on stitch and knit with the stitch on the needle to make a double brim

Next round: increase 4 stitches to 88 stitches

Knit until 9 inches total
Begin decrease: (change to dpn’s when needed)
Round 1: *k6, K2tog*
Round 2: knit
Round 3: *k5, K2tog*
Round 4: knit
Round 5: *k4, K2tog*
Round 6: knit
Round 7: *k3, K2tog*
Round 8: knit
Round 9: *k2, K2tog*
Round 10: knit
Round 11: *k1, K2tog*
Round 12: knit
Round 13: *k2tog*

Cut yarn and draw through remaining stitches. Weave in ends.

Optional: Use rest of skein to make a pom pom
